SAPPHIRE
Available as windows, substrates, wafers, insulators, machined parts, rods, tubes, balls.
Sapphire windows:
- Typically random orientation or C-plane material
- Infrared, visible and UV grade materials
- Size range – 1mm to 175mm diameter
- Circular, square, rectangular, custom shaped
- Thickness range to suit
- Finish – fine ground, optical polishes 80/50, 60/40
- Chamfers, Steps, Bevels – all to customer drawings
Substrates and wafers:
- Random orientation, A-plane, C-plane, M-plane,R-plane, custom orientation
- 5mm x 5mm, 10mm x 10mm, 2″ diameter, 3″ diameter, 4″ diameter, customer shapes/sizes
- 0.15mm-1mm thick
- Optical or Epi polish
Insulators, machined parts, rods, tubes, balls:
- Random and orientated material
- Fine ground or polished as necessary
- Holes, slots, grooves, etc.
- Rods 1mm to 150mm diameter, stock or polished
- Tubes from 1mm ID capillary to 30mm ID, length up to 300mm
- Wafer carriers 2″ diameter to 5″ diameter
- Balls – range sizes and finish#

- 5m x 5mm, 10mm x 10mm, 2″ diameter, 3″ diameter, 4″ diameter, customer shapes/sizes
- 0.15-1mm thick
- Optical or Epi polish
Machined parts:
- Plates, tiles, blocks, insulators, etc
- To customer drawings
Tubes:
- From 4mm OD tube to furnace tubes 11″ OD
- Range of lengths to suit
